Associated of Brownsville in Brooklyn is seeking a Meat Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of the meat department, which includes overseeing the preparation, cutting, and display of meats, monitoring inventory, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations, and leading the team to provide excellent customer service.

Responsibilities:
·      Oversee the entire operations of the meat department, which includes product selection, cutting, packaging, and displaying.
·      Responsible for ensuring the proper storage, rotation, and maintenance of the meat products to guarantee freshness.
·      Set and maintain department standards for quality, cleanliness, and safety.
·      Order and maintain inventory of the meat department.
·      Manage department budgets, including controlling labor costs and minimizing waste. 
·      Ensure proper labeling and pricing, adhering to all store policies and legal compliance.
·      Develop promotional displays and assist in merchandising strategies to boost sales.
·      Enforce food safety standards and proper sanitation practices to comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
·      Provide knowledgeable assistance to customers regarding meat selection, preparation, and cooking techniques. 
·      Address and resolve customer inquiries and issues promptly and professionally.
 Team Management:
·      Supervise and schedule meat department staff, providing training, guidance, and feedback.
·      Promote a positive and productive work environment.
·      Ensure staff compliance with department set standards for quality, cleanliness, and safety.
 
Qualifications:
·      High School Diploma/GED; Food safety certification a plus.
·      Minimum of 3 years of experience in as a meat cutter required, with at least 1 years in supervisory responsibilities.
·      In-depth knowledge of meat products, cutting techniques, and food safety regulations
·      Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills; ability to manage budgets and inventory. 
·      Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
·      Ability to lift heavy items (up to 50 pounds).
·      Ability to work in refrigerated environments.
·      Highly organized with attention to detail.
